Turbo Replacement - What Parts Do I Need?
I'm replacing a stock turbo with a Vitesse Stage 2 as soon as possible.
I'm planning on doing the AOS seals - those are easy to find.
What else do I need? Do I need new gaskets anywhere on the turbo connections? What about the downpipe, etc...? Part numbers would be greatly appreciated.
I've looked through both the shop manual and the guide that John sent me and a bunch of threads on this forum and others, looks pretty straightforward, just a pita getting some bolts out.
Really appreciate anyone who has done this job before and has any pointers - especially with what parts need to be replaced or updated. I want to make sure I have everything covered before I open this thing up - I'm going to have some help for a day or so and want to make sure that we don't waste time or have to stop because we're missing parts.
Thanks folks!!

get replacement bolts for the turbo(the ones that hold the turbo on the motor mount piece. Be sure not to strip the ones you take out. You will most likely have to unbolt the steering rack to get the socket to go on them. I almost wasn't able to get mine off because I stripped the bigger bolt. Thankfully It finally came out. Crush rings are used for the exhaust gaskets. You will need the new o ring's, probably a new crush ring for the downpipe to testpipe/ cat pipe if that is stock, a crush ring for the downpipe to turbo, and a crush ring for the crossover to turbo.

Lindsey racing's site isn't working for me right now so I am using Porsche PET

thanks for the link...
I can't find these part #'s anywhere:
999 707 043 00 Turbocharger Supply Line O-Ring (top of turbocharger)
999 707 043 00 Turbocharger Oil Inlet Flange O-Ring (top of turbocharger bearing housing)
N 013 814 8 Turbocharger Oil Supply Line Banjo Bolt Seal Rings (2 Needed)
Also, on Pelican - searching for AOS brings up nothing...what do you search for to find the two AOS seals?

damn - i'm looking at the Vol6-Turbo.PDF I have (shop manual) and on page 21-2 there's a PERFECT layout (real picture) of everything - but then the numbers corresponding to the parts don't show any f'ing part numbers!!!! WTH?? It says #6 is "seal rings" and you need 2 and replace both...but no damn part number!!!

yeah, im figuring that - can you get 3" seals anywhere or will I need to go back to SFR to get those? I didn't do that exhaust - the PO did...how do you mate up the 3" with the stock 2" or whatever size it is that's on the downpipe? I'm assuming it's a custom downpipe as well with 2" on one end and 3" on the other?

The first part number listed below should end in 40, rather than 00. (Looks like my write up has that one wrong?) Looks like you copied that one twice -- the second part number you list should be: 900 174 058 40
Armed with the right numbers, you can then type those part numbers in on pelicanparts.com and order them off the shelf.

Thanks Tom.
The writeup is great - appreciate that. Hopefully it gets me through this.
I think I've got about everything I need so far - including one other crush gasket that apparently needs to be replaced after I did my Tial install...the gasket that fits between the two pipes after the wastegate needs to be replaced...pretty obvious exhaust leak right there from the black soot around the fitting...
The following parts can't be found on pelican:
Cheap turbo water hose/pipe combo: 951 106 055 00 (pipe) 951 106 248 00 (hose)
Also can't find the first one - O-Ring for top of turbo: 999 707 043 00
And none of the parts that start with "N" (specifically the sealing washers N 013 814 8) - there was one that the part number changed to something else but then the link to that one wasn't found either.

one last thing - John mentions a paper'ish gasket for the turbo that I don't have in his manual. I had read somewhere on another post (didn't bookmark it) that others use a metal gasket from SFR or somewhere instead since the paper one can get chewed up with the pipe movement.
Anyone have any ideas on this one - I bought the turbo used so I didn't get any gaskets with it.
From John's manual:
Anyone have any suggestions for the gasket here and why would you keep the old rubber o-ring instead of using a new one?

From John's manual:
At the base of the turbo (Oil drain hole), keep the "OLD" rubber O-ring on the engine mount and use the supplied paper gasket between mount & Turbo.
