HAHA! engine wiring is nothing but time...the one thing that would cross my mind is where the engine came from! That's the kind of thing that bothers me...obviously this guy dropped big coin on this car. He spent big money on a standalone engine management system that allowed him to delete the optispark (bigtime failure on those engines), honestly he could have spent anywhere from 800-2000+ on that system alone. I can see why he kinda ran out of steam on this project...there's way too much going on at one time, he should've done the body, finished it, then done the engine etc...

actually looking at it again, what you're seeing is how the plug wires are run from the coil setup (made by LTCC i believe), the engine wiring looks to be very tidy and well hidden!
