Oil? Sunroof? Cap & Rotor?
I just purchased a 944 S2. Great condition, needs a few minor things.
1. Previous owner ran synthetic ( I believe). Any favorites out there? I live at high elevation in Utah.
2. The sunroof motor only goes in one direction, down. Any thoughts?
3. Needs a new cap and rotor. Is it worth going HP on this, or are a stock/OEM cap and rotor sufficient?
Thanks for your wisdom to a newbie.

I don't usually respond to topics, but I feel like going crazy and giving my 2 cents! So someone please correct me if I'm wrong with anything! haha
1.) I use castrol syntec 5w-50...but then again, we live in completely different regions of the US
2.) I may be wrong, but I believe it could be your sunroof relays located in your trunk. There should be two relays, and for both ways. You could try cleaning the relays first, and replace the fuse up front for good measure.
3.)OEM cap and rotor will do just fine, if this is your first 944, you'll probably notice a bit more pep when you do that. You should probably just do a whole tune-up i.e. cap, rotor, plugs, wires, and filters (air, oil, and fuel). If you've got some money to throw around, go ahead and get HP items, but honestly I don't think they'll be worth the extra cost.
*prays that my information is useful*

asking oil brand is like asking sports teams. everyone's gonna have diff answer.
15w50 or 20w50 is the recommended weight. u can run thinner if it's really cold in winter.
just get oem replacement cap and rotor.
