FS: 944 Cage $500 SOLD

I have a cage that came out of my car. It started life as a 4 point roll bar that has plates that get welded in then the roll bar bolts to the plates. Someone then fabricated the front section and the door bars. I've attached some photos of what it looked like in my car. When my cage builder removed this cage he did it so it can be reused without a ton of work. The front pieces go through the air vents and need to be welded in place and the back part goes onto the roll bar and can either be welded or drilled and bolted. The door bars will need to be fitted once the cage is in place. It's not a simple plug and play but it's a lot easier than starting from scratch. Figure $500 plus shipping is fair. SOLD Cage is located in Central NH.

Damnit i wish you were closer. This would fit my 924, yes?

Brian A. 09-05-2010 01:27 PM

It's made to go through the dash vents of the 1985.5+ car. It would work on an older car but you would have to cut into the dash.

I bet shipping would be $150 or so. I can look into it further if you would like.

What's a dash? ;)

I'm in 97756

And does it fit to SCCA spec?

Brian A. 09-07-2010 04:56 PM

Shipping to the freight terminal in Bend OR is $189.

Not sure what SCCA specs are so I have no idea if this meets it.

For SCCA you would need a dash bar, double door bars or X bars, and maybe a diagonal bar in the plane of the main hoop.

Hope all is well Brian! The trans out of that old 924S is rocking in my race car, after a rebuild and the addition of a Guard LSD.

Thanks Eric! Sound like some simple mods would make it SCCA legal. Did GBOX take good care of you?

Overall I was a happy customer. I quickly filed the bill away in the deepest, darkest corner of the filing cabinet however. :icon501:

Short 5th definitely makes a difference, but after a year I think I am still learning to find time in the corners with LSD. Big improvement in the tight corners when it comes to putting the power down!

New price $500 plus shipping.

I need the space and want this gone. $300 plus shipping.

kobayashi 11-15-2010 11:43 PM

Shipping to 15145? I could pick it up at a freight terminal.

Might be interested.

Funny, shipping quote to Oregon was $189 and to PA it's $185. So you can get this cage shipped to you for less than $500 total.

Bryon, It depends what you have. Didn't you have a list of stuff for trade? I'm looking to free up space so nothing too big. :)
