My Turbo S had a odd odor. It was from buring oil over the crossover pipe. An oil for years had been puting oil on the pipe only to ahve it burn off. The smoke would get sucked in the fresh air blower put smoke in the car.

I used baking soda to help cure it (fixing the leak is what I am working now). I just took a box and put in a tupperware container. Left it open and put it on the arm-rest and left it there. Windows up in the garage or parked. Tupperwear is good so you can seal it for driving as I would not want to spill it any place. Over time the odor was gone. It did take a good year of leave it in there, but the process was very easy.

Yup, or you can put it in an open container...

Does the smell bother you ??? My car smells different then my Envoy oh well, if GF doesn't like it then she can drive her own car. You could tell her it is her perfume or deodrant and it only happens when she is in the car. If she is in the car how are you to meet the new GF ?? LOL

I LOVE the smell of my 944, something like a little bit of sweet tobacco and maybe some leather...not sure but it's GLORIOUS and a lot of people seem to agree. If you have the time, i suggest pulling the seats out to clean underneath them really well, if you have ever had a leak and water got under the seats, you could have some mold under there that you will never clean out unless you pull the seats and scrub that crap down.

The smell isn't overpowering, but I would like it smell a bit newer or fresher maybe. I think it has been sitting outside for sometime with the windows up. I tried the vinegar in a pan last night and it didn't do much. I will try to spray it on all the carpets and see if that helps.

A good cleaning, serious vacuuming then Zaino Z10 on the seats dash and doors did it for me.

after the v8 swap you sprinkled some pipe tobacco under the seats and dash to give it a gentlemanly scent

hahaha! pretty much!

but seriously...find a very nice, sweet smelling cigar, smoke it while you're driving around, then set it in the ashtray when you're done with it and let it burn out all by itself, leave you're windows down for a few hours to let most of the stink waft away, then you'll have a very sweet smell of fine tobacco that will linger for a while...if you like that kind of thing!

1. pull the seats and clean w/ alcohol vinegar 50-50 mix... let it sit in the hot sun all day and when night falls, add space heater or heat gun....

2. full hand shampoo the carpets with shampoo 10 % alcohol 50 % vinegar 40 % mix... wet/dry vac.

then after completely dry, spray Vamoose Leather Scent... comes in 32 oz spray bottle.

it also appears you're holding water somewhere.

"...There are a couple annoyances. First off there's a load of hosing in the car to guide water away from problem areas. Water will collect under your hood, in your taillight, and in the rear wheelwells. Clean out the drain hoses and this will be minimized. The seat Adjustment **** is hard to reach because it comes so close to the frame making seat adjustments a pain. The early dashboard cracks easily. It's not cheap to replace and the replacement will crack quickly too. There are alternative dash overlays available on ebay... "
