about 146-148 mph before exhaust. 159-161 mph after.

after the other people drive it, they can write a review about how it sounds.

I got to drive this car last night, so I will give my report on the sound.

It has a big deep sound, and It sounds to me like a tweaked 911 six cylinder sound. It's good stuff. I haven't heard many 944/951/968 exhausts to compare it to, because there aren't many out there (like 928s) unless you know someone with one.
I have gone through a bunch of combinations on the 928 to come up with what I like for sound.

You guys are pretty quick to jump on someone like it's high school all over again... The OP is a guy who is excited about coming up with a good sounding exhaust. He puts a lot of miles on his 968 too, as if it's a new daily driver. That's cool in my book.
All of us here are excitable and enthusiastic, or we wouldn't be here. Just try to be positive and grow up some. I have become more of a lurker now, letting everyone else sling the mud and octane.

Anyways, there it is...

Hey Dogberri, I have seen and heard a Stebro exhaust on a 944S just a while ago and it sounded awsome. Stebro is known for their exhausts on Italian cars so it's no surprise that it sounds very European/Italian like, not ricey at all.

I have been in contact with the dealer here and am looking at getting a cat-back system. My plan is to cut out my cat, weld in a straight pipe and then run the Stebro cat-back. Should sound great.

i tried several combinations before finally combining a Hooker glasspack, with an SLP loudmouth hollow chamber resonator... about a year later, i killed that muffler when i tried to drive across some dirt going too fast and bottomed out (long story)... it was too loud anyway, so i changed to a larger 22"X11"X5" Magnaflow glasspack with one mild 'S' bend inside just before leaving Florida last spring. had a beautiful pipe made up to accommodate the larger muffler..... the key is the resonator' an SLP 2.5"/4"/2.5" X 18" which gives the engine a really throaty sound at low rpms and it changes to a more and more exotic sound at higher rpms. the setup is completely open but the larger muffler has removed 75 % of the loudness factor and left just a right amount behind. still, the sound when you let off the gas is sick. i promise none of the cat back systems sound anything like this..... the resonator is located just behind where the cat used to be.... some of the other hollow resonators have partial cutouts inside. but this is completly hollow with no internal parts whatsoever. the muffler is extremely large (12589), and barely almost doesn't fit.

I'd personally love to hear it. How hard is it to video and post on YT?

Interesting. My personal thought for my 951 would be to install a B & B or a Borla when I get to that. But I would like to see. Can you say or show how you spaced all of that out under the car?
