The guys at Carbonfibergear started reselling this stuff back in oct....decent price breaks...my opinions and comments are listed under "Tech" on the thread below...

Its cool stuff....its just not CF...I happen to like carbon more for the strength more than the look.

Lots of stone chips on the nose of my black cab.
Any opinions on what covering the header panel and headlight covers with this stuff would look like?
I am thinking it may not be bad.

Awesome job on the car.
Keep in mind that this film is only rated for up to four years in the outdoors, and thats under best conditions. I am not sure how this film will hold up to Canadian winters or rain, but I'm curious to hear if anyone has any long term experience with this product.

This is cool stuff, thanks for sharing. I've got some ordered and am planning on experimenting with it on the dash pieces, I've never been completely satisfied with the Jager stick on pieces. They are very well made and fit great but they don't cover the entire surface, they're shiny and they just look more stuck on than I'd like. I think the 3M stuff is much more subtle.
And, if I have enough left I might do my track sunroof panel, just to add lightness

Yeah this 3M stuff looks great ! I was first planing on Jager's kit, then I decided to custom my dash with fiberglass and use a carbon look type on top of that for the trim parts. But maybe Il just go with the 3M stick and heat stuff... Looks just as great and don't gather all the dust like shiny stuff do

Considering how subtle this is, and how good the results are, I'd say it would be tackier to replace odd interior bits with real carbon fiber, especially for a street car.

To each their own. Some say my front mask is tacky. Some say a rear reflector / licence plate is tacky
Our cars say alot about us. They say if your car is dirty on the inside its a reflection of what is going on in your life. We express ourselves through our cars by modifing them. Some of us have great taste and vision, some do not. It's your car do with it what you want. Opinions are like ******** everyone has one.
