Default 944 turbo spoiler

Is the 944 Turbo spoiler underneath the rear of the car, fiberglass?? Looking to upgrade my 1986 944, it
looks a lot better. Any sources from recyclers?? thanks

It's not fiberglass, but the same plastic material as the front bumper. (A urethane, perhaps?)

Polyurethane, IIRC.

Also needs holes in the very bottom of the rear fenders. At least the stock Turbos do.

Were phonies ever made in 15X8 or 16X8? just wondering. I know they were made in 7's all over the place, but unknown about the 8" width. I have heard that 15X8's are highly desired?

A pretty thorough listing of factory Porsche wheels
http://www.944racing.de/wheelweights.php

Phonies were made in 16x8 but not 15x8. The 16x8 would have been the standard rear wheels on 944 Turbos. They were made in early and late offset. Since you asked about cookies, I assume you need early offset, so that would mean you need the rear wheels from a 1986 944 Turbo.

Tiger you may be thinking about Fuchs. They came in 15x8, and always fetch a pretty penny. I've sold a few sets, even a very ratty set got me $500 cash within 12 hours of pulling them off a junkyard car. The 16" 951 Fuchs I have installed are probably the most valuable part of the car

Just noticed something interesting in the parts lookup. On the early n/a cars, if you ordered the 15" Fuchs, they were a staggered set of 7 and 8" rims. If you ordered the 16" Fuchs, they were 7" all around. They also were the 911.xxx part numbered 16" Fuchs, so they won't fit over 951 brakes.

Usefull, perhaps, but hardly thorough.

Cookies only came in 15x6 and 15x7, the former never appearing on the 944.

They even made them in 9" too, rears on the Turbo Cup and Mg only.

Dear guys: Well I have both phonies in 15 & 16 " diameters. Early and late offset. this should be interesting. I would like to run the 16's on the rear and the 15's on the front. I think that the 16's might be 8"...I know that the 15's are 7". Should give a nice stance to the ride.
