Thanks!
I commissioned those pistons to Diamond Racing. They're custom slugs based on a US-spec S2 931 piston, setup to accommodate the custom stroker crank I had made. Diamond does their own coatings in house. I'm setup as a jobber with them, so I can get pretty much anything made, any bore, any pin height, any CR, etc. etc. All I need is a sample piston to work from and some key measurements (like stroke, rod length, etc.).

Continuing to make incremental progress this week. Began working on minor body stuff, like re-installing the tail lights, the rear license plate lights, and the late-style smooth rain channels. Also got the Porsche script door handles installed and operating correctly, and installed the early 924 manual sideview mirror. Note that my body man shaved the holes for the electric mirrors.
Ran into a tiny snag with the coil over installation. The upper spring hat was binding on the box that surrounds the upper shock mount, which prevented it from seating properly on the rod end. So I did a tiny bit of grinding on the inside edge of the box, which you can (sort of) see in this photo.
Completed installation of the rear suspension, which consists of early offset aluminum trailing arms sourced from a 924S, and an 18mm rear sway bar sourced from a 968. The coilovers are fully adjustable Konis with 225# Hyperco springs, Genesis helper spring guides, and Hyperco helper springs. I reindexed the torsion bars one notch which will allow more lowering and precise adjustment to the desired ride height with the rear eccentric and the coil overs.
The 4-piston Porsche script Brembos (front and rear) were sourced from a 968. The rear brake rotors are for a 1986 944 Turbo. I learned the hard way that the rotors that came with the second-hand 968 package I acquired will not fit over hubs or handbrake assembly for the early offset trailing arms, so I had to order new '86 951 rotors, which have the correct diameter & thickness.
Closeups of the coilovers, Brembos, and the Stage8 locking hardware for the CV joints.
More shots of the Stage8 hardware.
Completed rear suspension assembly, driver side / passenger side
