I thought Pininfarina was mostly a Ferrari designer. Sheesh, what people will do.

I think they designed the 60s Karmen Ghia, didn't they? Maybe they did have a hand in the 944.

I'm pretty sure Porsche does all there design in house. Their philosophy is form follows function. I'm pretty sure also that Pininfurina had nothing to do with the 944. But anything is possible. Not likely though.

No, that was designed by Ghia, another Italian design house.
Pininfarina mostly does work for Italian automakers - but I believe they designed the original Scirocco. I don't think they make body kits of any kind, and that's obviously what this is. But from what I can see in the photos, this is really good work.

Paul's and Alan's widebody 951 looks a lot better than that.

I'd like to see the paperwork on the kit. I bet there is none, other than the recipt for the badges!

When I first looked at the E-bay ad I thought "Pinin Furina" was a spelling error. However, looking at one of the pictures on the ad, it appears to me that the badge on the side of the car actually does say, "Pinin Furina," spelled as two words and with a "u". That makes me think that the body kit was done by a rip-off company. The real Pininfarina that does designs for Ferrari is not spelled with a "u" and I believe it should also be spelled as one word.

If the company that sold this body kit hasn't been sued, then it should be.

However, I will admit I think the car looks pretty good. The modifications are quite tasteful.

Actually, another look at the badge makes me think that it is spelling "Pininfurina" as one word. The styling of the "f" just makes it look like two. I still can't be 100% sure about the "u", but I think this is a fake and not a real Pininfarina.

The jerk just took a badge of a Fiat (i think) and cant read or spell!

The only thing italian about that car is the stereotype of what the seller thinks will buy it.

Pininfarina also designed the cadillac allante (sp?) convertible in the early 90's. Looked kind of like the current El Dorado in convertible form.

Pininfarina designed bodies all bear a badge along the bump strip or approximately where that would be behind the doors.

That badge does indeed look like a legit pininfarina badge but it is in the wrong place and they do not do any sort of aftermarket things to cars.
