I've got some nice Hyundai Tiburon mirrors that will be going on with a set of adapters. The shape is perfect for the 944 IMO. The vertical set screw is going to make for a strange adapter. I will be making them from steel to keep the 2 prongs from the Porsche design that grab into the door frame....

Other thing to remember is that the mounting surface is very vertical compared to other models so you will need to make an angled adapter.

if you look at the photos I posted you'll see that they droop slightly. Most of the choices I have seen presented here would be far worse

Key here is that the mirror foot properly mate with the sheet metal contour of your door.

I bought some 911 aero mirrors for a good price. They do not fit the 944 door contour, so then had to get some 968 mirror feet and gaskets. Gross pita. Better to have bought new 968 mirrors from Sunset Porsche, already primed and ready to spray. Sorry to say.

So, how did the Audi mirrors fit the 944 door?
