Default Which Tire Valve Stems?

I have Fuchs with flush fit bolt-in tire valves, they look good and work fine but it's a pain to check the air using the adapter. I don't want any rubber showing on the rims and I would prefer them to be as short as possible. Just wondering what everyone else using? ...and are the pull through type more reliable than the bolt-in? ...and should you use some sort of thread-locking compound on the bolt-in types? Any advise appreciated, TIA

Current flush fit:

Short bolt-in option:

Short pull through option:

Can you use the FUCH valve stem protectors with those?

Fuchs, at least on 951's, came with valve stem supports. See link:

ah yes, took those off when I fitted the flush-fit valves - not needed. Don't see any reason why you couldn't use them on any valve except the flush-fit, but you shouldn't need them on the short valves that I posted above.

They are used to stop the large rubber valves stems from moving and causing a leak. With the shorter valve stems you should be fine.

If you're driving normal speeds, the pull through type will be fine. But, if your car will see any high speeds you should stick with the bolt in type.
I have the short bolt in style on my phone dials. They don't look bad, but I'm also not a fan of the rubber showing. You can take the rubber piece out from under the cone washer but the washer will put a nice circle mark on the wheel.

I'm leaning towards the short pull through type. This car doesn't see any track time and I'm a bit wary of the bolt-in type, I never know how tight to do them up or whether they would come loose. Never had one fail, but it's a niggle I don't have to worry about with the pull through.

the first is what i have i work at a garage and you will want to use some teflon tape on the second set on the setm its self where it screws into the base sometime the stem will leak at that point. plus you pretty much never have to replace the first set vs the last
