Post Glass Top from "Toys For Your Toys .Com" Pics!!

Has anyone splurged for one of these yet?

<img src="http://www.toysforyourtoys.com/images2/GS_Blow-up.jpg" alt=" - " />

I wonder if they will sell many of these, and who manufactures it? I would really like one, but I'd like to hear some feedback first.
I wonder if they would send us some more detailed pics and info if we emailed them.
Anyone else interested in knowing more details?

I might go in for one this spring but I had some questions that I meant to call them on. I cant really tell but the pictures seem to give off a bronze look. My car is red on black so Id rather it be more of a smoke look. I suppose I could order one give you all the skinny on it and if I didnt like it send it back.

Whoever runs TFYT.com posted here a month or so ago; dunno if he's still lurking or not, but I sure ain't dropping that kind of cash unless there's a _lot_ more info provided. It's way to easy to make something like that that turns into a nightmare of rattles & leaks, or just plain doesn't fit right.

I PM'd the company President about a group buy a few weeks ago, but have not heard back. A group buy would be good for these guys. It would get their product in the hands of enthusiasts, and help them get the ball rolling. I will send him an email and see what happens.

Quote from their website

For Porsches with existing, electrically operated sunroofs, this Glass Sunroof Upgrade is the way to go! With the latest in UV protection, no protruding hardware on its top surface, the same weight of the factory non-clear roof and the look and feel of factory hardware, this Glass Sunroof Upgrade offering will transform your Porsche to give you the feeling of open top driving. And, should you get hit with a brick, YOU don't, for our Glass Sunroof Upgrade is made from Laminated Safety Glass and NOT tempered which when hit, breaks into a thousand pea size shards of glass. It's made from the same type of glass as your windshield. We offer great Upgrades but are never willing to put your safety in jeopardy.

We've gotten comments like, "This sunroof from ToysForYourToys looks totally factory." and "It feels so much bigger in here." and "I can't believe the difference it makes." Enhance the Driving Experience with our New Glass Sunroof Upgrade. And it's not only of value on a sunny day either. On a rainy day, a snowy day or
just a plain overcast day, our New Glass Sunroof Upgrade will make the interior of your Porsche feel and look
even bigger and brighter.

Hey fixn, if you do order one, let us know, and we should probably verify their return policy.
Sean, let us know also what you find out.

I think he's bringing some to Hershey for us to view. Doesn't matter to me, picking up the cab on Friday!

I'll never get one because it's a pain to live with on hot sunny days. My 4Runner has one but it also has another "shade" door underneath so I can block out the sun on a slide, instantly. Save your money for performance upgrades, maintenace...whatever.

Treeclaw makes a good point.

On my RX-7 I had the saratoga top. I took the liner off the factory sunroof and threw it in the hatch. when I would park the car at the station during the summer months i would place the factory sunroof's liner in place to block the sun.

I took my saratoga off the 944 at the beginning of one summer, and never put it back on.

Kgain, I havent called them but I think that having different part numbers is just the shade of tint for ROW cars. Which brings me to another question, would ROW be darker than US specs. If so I think I would prefer the darker of the two.
