Default Where can I find a Euro rear bumper?

I got freaking rear-ended! I think I just gotta replace the driver's side impact shock and the plastic skirt on the side by the rear quarter. I know the person that hit me. Won't be reporting it since it was like a 5mph impact. So I gotta find replacement equipment and a rear Euro bumper.

The other alternative is getting a "roll pan" style bumper like the Fiberwerks piece. Here's the link:

Think the F44 bumper will work with the rear Turbo splitter?
http://www.fiberwerks.com/Fiberwerks_944.htm

If it does then hell I might as well do it. Not my money!!!

Great. I kinda need a bumper. Don't really want to just wait for one to pop up. However, I do have to wait to get money for it, so I suppose I'll just look around.

BTW, it was my damn friend that rear-ended me. Who seriously doesn't pay attention at a traffic light? I wanna bitch slap him! But as long as he's getting me the parts I WANT, I can't complain too much. Just pisses me off. I need an effing brake already. Too much **** lately.

I don't think the Fiberwerks cover will work with the turbo underspoiler...its meant for a NA to "spiff" it up.

What's wrong with this bumper? I bought it believing it was a 944 euro bumper (and it came with the rubber rub strip, though I haven't yet put it back on). It even lines up correctly with the independently-obtained euro mounts, but it doesn't quite line up with the body!

It's definitely fiberglass. The marking inside has a Porsche-style part number, but it doesn't say 944.xxx.xxx etc. Instead, it says:

FIBRON 447.xxx.xxx... etc.

What is it?

Spencer, I suspect you're right, and that the seller was confused.

Not that I'm not, mind you: I pulled my old (original North American 944) bumper's end caps off and discovered that they were stamped 931.xxx.xxx, so I'm not sure of anything, anymore!

Anyway, I'm hoping that the disparity will be hidden somewhat when I put the turbo rear valence on...

I bought a fiberglass version from IFC Racing on ebay sometime last year. I don't think I see any on ebay right now but he puts them up once in a while.

on my car:

I'm going bare bumper, without the strip or pads, on my next bumper. Trying to make the 944 rear-end look LESS busy.

its not unusual for early 924 ptnos to start with 4##.###.###

the fibron bit is a mystery though.

Thanks -- Porsche part numbers are still a bit of a mystery to me. Also, I think I'll need to machine out a recess in this bumper to clear the Turbo valence.

Sorry to hijack a thread!
