Thanks Fergus. Here's some of the stuff that we need to pull together:

- 1 door handle (driver side)
- driver and passenger window nets
- lexan for rear quarter windows
- high density roll bar padding
- trailer style tail lights
- track compound brake pads
- 225-50-15 tires (190 treadwear or higher)
- lots of duct tape

If anyone has any of this stuff sitting around and want to sell it for cheap, let us know!

If Van falls thru as the last driver, I'd like to throw my name in the hat.
Not that it matters but I've raced motorcycles at nelsons since the mid 90's.
I'm in Columbus, Oh.

PM me an address and I'll pop the window net and door handle in the postal mail sometime this week.(after I dig them out) I can also toss in the spare front pads(they are streeters) for a backup).

If you need another driver that can also help out with expenses let me know. I was at the 944 fest driving on Saturday and Sunday in a Gray and Orange 951.

Are we going to put extra driving lights on the front? Something like:

we can but they are very specific about having too much light and blinding other drivers- they will pull you off the track.

Yeah, I read that. I don't have any night time track experience, but I've talked with some people that have - and they all say that they are surprised how hard it is to see... I was wondering if 2 extra lights mounted on the nose panel (so they're not up real high in another driver's mirror) and aimed properly would be helpful... Like these $25 ones from Harbor Freight: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...temnumber=3029

What are your thoughts on sponsors? Should we try to rustle up a few? Would we allow stickers on logos on the car for $100 or so?

we could- read about sponsors- any thing a sponsor buys you on the car counts towards the cost of the car so if its used towards safety, tires, gas or brakes it would be ok though...

oh- and i have been given the green light to borrow my father's enclosed motorcycle trailer for this, which means we can haul my father in law's golf cart, all the gas cans and parts in the trailer and perhaps have a spot to take a nap between sessions.
