proplem where to find an S2 gearbox .when you need one, where 944s are more common.
STD 944s dont have oil coolers , and when used with 400 plus BHP 2.5 or more ,engines on track ,with
normal synthetic oils ,
the risk of breaking a cwp , is increased.even a 951 cwp at those power levels and use has a limited life span.

Hence the oil cooler,Torsen lsd, which does not heat the oil as much due to disc ops and the high quality
of the shock proof oil, cushoning the shock at the teeth mesh.

Horses for courses.

if you run a widebody and wider wheels in back you could get toyo r888 in 305/35ZR18 which is od of 26.4"

under normal body you could get an r888 in 275/40/18 which is 26.7"

unless thats not a good enough race tire?
