When I try to update and hit ok to download, the program closes. Does this happen to anyone else?

 

Happens to me, but to be honest I have a rip of the game so that's probably why.

 

I had a rip also but today I bought a used copy and still does the same thing. Is there a patch or something I can download manually?

I have version 3.5 and I have th esame problem. Mine won't let me make an online account either. Any Ideas?

 

I have a legit version, applied the updates, but when I go to race online it says I don't have a needed update and crashes.

I think if you know somebody who wants to race you can just share IP addresses without going through the "official" online portion.

If anybody wants to try this, let me know. I've been trying to find somebody to do a little racing with.

 

What operating system?? Mine works fine (albeit slow) on Win98se (a machine dedicated to run games - not on my Win2K i usually use..)Updates and runs like a champ online.

There are a myriad of issues with WinME.. and XP is a little quirky with win95/98 only games.. My .02

I've tried with W2K and I believe with 98.

Are you saying you are actually playing NFS Porsche Unleased Online? If so, I would like to shake your hand as you are the first person I've ever known to actually get this to work.

not successful yet- when i try i get server probs at the destination.. and my Video card needs to be replaced- hence the slow choppy video making it not so much fun to play.. I am looking for an alternate server site.. Yep im still tracing IP's to verify the host server site is up.

BTW peer to peer IP game works fine on the network in my house, so I know its a host server issue at EA games.
