1) Got Classic car insurance on my 944 NA today for $75.00 per year, full coverage!
2) My wife has smaller hands than I do ... she fixed my electric window switch, took it apart and set the ball bearings back in place, had to use a dab of grease to hold the bearings on the springs.
3) Got new wind deflector and hinges (sunroof).
4) Went on a nice drive on a twisty road.

Otto,
I've only had the car since November. 75K miles approximately. Put on bilsteins all the way around, then a couple weeks later it shredded a rod bearing. I've been learning a ton during the disassembly process. The only bad that I've come across has been needing to replace a couple connecting rods and a crankshaft, but I scored those for great deals. That and saving up for the rebuild kit, which is when I decided to just start cleaning the thing to pass the time. I have the kit now, but I'm going to clean it a bit more before installing everything.

JC Taylor. Mine isn't a DD and since it is over 19 years old, I was able to get classic car insurance on it. I had to prove that my wife and I have other cars insured as DD's. Any insurance agent should be able to get this for you also. My agreed value was $4,000 so it was right at the minimum premium level. Higher agreed values will cost more of course, but even so, classic car insurance is a bargain. Check into it.
