Put the recently repainted Cup 1 wheels on with new rubber
I'm not sure what the proper name is for these wheels but they are different to Cup 1's. They were on 964's and 968's. I've heard them called C2 narrow spokes before. I prefer these very much to Cup 1's or Cup 2's
Swapped my blown likely original front shocks for the Koni conversions from Paragon. A real learning experience, the second side took me 25% of the time of the first side.
Also put on a new driver's side door seal and new floor mats from Lloyd's via Pelican.
Rebuilt the driver rear brake caliper. Took FAR longer than it should have, and pretty much an entire can of brake cleaner just to get the one caliper taken care of... Going to do the passenger rear this evening. Hopefully it'll go much faster, and that this is all it takes to get the rear brakes to stop causing the car to shudder!

Finished the passenger side yesterday, but have some major air in the system and need to bleed the hell out of it before passing judgment on it.
Also had a major squeal/grinding noise come up that turns out to be the alternator bearings attempting a catastrophic failure. So that's going to be Saturday's project, provided I can source a good alternator tomorrow. It's always something, right?
Van has a rebuilding video for the alt. skf bearings are a twenty spot on ebay and the regulator is 35-40. A rebuilt one from FLAPS will probably use the cheapest bearings possible.
I've spent 3 hours trying to remove the EVIL snap ring from the water pump, and I finally did!! I got my new thermostat in , and the snap ring partially back in and have to push it into the water pump all the way!
Tracked down terrible squeal that was brake/wheel related that had made it an embarrassment to drive. Turned out to be the emergency drum brake assembly on the drives side. Feels great to drive without a terrible metal on metal sound!
Ordered all new hardware for the engine I'm building from Belmetric, excluding head studs/nuts which I already bought from Paragon. It ended up being cheaper than I thought, this is mostly for aesthetic purposes.

Yeah, saw Van's video before- Unfortunately, I didn't get a ton of warning that the alternator was dying, so I wasn't able to get the bearings and such in time for when I needed the car running. BUT I was able to get a properly rebuilt alternator from a top-notch local alternator/generator shop, so I know it's not the crap that the FLAPS sell... I won't touch hardly anything those guys sell other than fluids, and even then it's a tossup.
