Rod bearings are for the Turbo. I bet the are originals. I also have motor mounts for the turbo too and fear I have a pan gasket leak. I might have been just a front seal leak, but since I farking around with it all I figure do the pan gasket, rod bearings and motor mounts as well. I am also putting new ball joints in the control arms. Once that is all done I can tackle my A/C problem. Lots of work. Then again I have not done much work on this car in the past 5 years when I did a clutch. I have owned it since 1997 and put about 50k on it. It is just due for some loving right now.

Let me tell you I have forgotten how much harder it is to work on a Turbo. All the pumbing just make every job take longer than in my spec car iwth no A/C an no powersteering.

The spec is ready to race mechically. Cosmeticlly I need to do some bondo and paint work before nationals.

I watched my wife drive it to work. I have to drive her car to a shop to get looked at. Not often I get to hear what it sounds like from outside the car.

Just wish they were the 3 piece bbs. Unfortunately they are the 1 piece. Will soon be trying to sell in order to purchase some spacers for my newer wheels.

Ordered Bilstein Struts, Weltmeister 200lb springs and Dansk polished exhaust. Scraped old state inspection an emissions stickers off since I licensed it with antique tags. Reconnected my reference sensor since the connectors separated causing a no-start condition earlier this week.

I paid £993 for the Annual MOT, new brake pads and the sloppy gear change modification to be carried out.

Its getting expensive !!

Will pick the car up tomorrow.
