Ha, ain't that the truth!

Mostly from kids in WRX/Civics/pickups. Most people comment on how nice the car is until they see I don't have a nose panel on

Not really, especially from newer Porsche's. I was sitting at a light a few weeks ago when a 997 pulled up with the windows down I said hi and he looked right at me and never said a word.

Never got much attention with my 83, my 951 would get some attention at stoplights and gas stations. After the repaint I got A LOT more attention, I mean three people in one 45 minute drive. I guess its the brightness.

Yup and my paint is only 5 years old and was a top notch job. I wash/claybar/waxed it today. Its amazing how bright it is in the sunlight. Most people can't believe its the year and they all comment on the condiition even though the front is all misaligned and there are rock chips. I think overall its the new paint, wheels, and rear end.

If yous gets alot more attention now after your repaint that makes alot of sense.

You're right! All meetings/appointments/engagements have been postponed until early May.

When my car's back together, we should go do a photo shoot or something.

MAN! that's not cool..

but anyways.. i guess some of ya'll don't know what it's like. when i see one i flip! i know just about every body style! and i'll be like oh! i 1988 944S!

I'm currently 16 going on 17 and in a couple days i'll be gettin my first car. a 1992 Acura integra. its going to be my Daily Driver. Down the street from me, is a guy that owns A TON of cars! as in he has his own lot! well in the back behind his house, he has his sons (who passed away) 1984 Porsche 944 (which is now my favorite car/dream car) i've talked to him and he said he would sell it to me for $2000 so when i get the acura i'm getting a job and starting to save! so it really means ALOT to me when i see a 944 strollin down the road.

I get nice words every once in a while and have had a few people stop me to ask about the car.

I even had one guy ask me what model Ferrari I was driving haha

I get plenty of people commenting on my car, most guys in their newer Porsches give me a thumbs up, older guys at the gas station will tell me it is the cleanest one they have seen in a long time, and of course at least once a month I'll walk out to see people in the parking lot standing next to the car and talking about it.

The 944/951 gets more attention than my honda van and suburban but my 65 el camino or 66 renault caravelle convertible (most people have never seen one as they stopped making those 40+ years ago) generates much more interest. I never liked attention much as I like to do my own thing.

Nothing I have owned gets more attention than what I ride in my avatar as just about everyone I ride by takes a peek at it and everybody who has ever ridden a motorcycle will trade war stories with you. I like the rider bunch so I compare wounds and trade stories with them most of the time. The bike is basically bone stock but has 30+ more hp than a 944 weighing in at less than 400lb. Having 12 brake pistons just on the front wheel alone to stop full floating pair of rotors is an interesting sight to see on any vehicle let alone the 6 inch rear wheel with 190 rubber.

my car has not even been put on the road yet and it has its own following haha. neighbors and people driving by stop all the time trying to see what ive done, what im doing, when it'll be done. At first it literally looked like a POS but its slowly but surely coming a long.

I think they will all pop once i lay down the kandy apple red is applied =P
