Progress

We're doing the last bits of suspension work, big black brakes are in, KW rear Competitions with 140N/800lbs, Kw fronts with 110N/600LBS, A-arms, camberplates, Weltmeister sways.

Still having some gremlins with wiring, so today decided to go MOTEC and sort it all proper.... Car is scheduled for first drive on 28 June... fingers crossed, attached some pics of underworks.

Great stuff Henk. Looking forward to more updates and your impressions of the suspension. I wonder what bump & rebound settings you might end up with?
Keep up the great work

As you can see here, they tuck into the body pretty tightly. The square setup has been proven to work well on our cars. Some guys are running up to 315s all round! You want to minimise the amount of front to rear stagger in your tyre widths. Our cars are setup to naturally understeer so more rubber up front should offset that. Dial out the rest. Ideally I would like to go to a wider rear actually but they don't make the Enkeis in a wider wheel. I will endure this setup for a little while. I have a high hp 3L motor in the wings so we will wait until that goes in to make the call.
is your wing mounted directly to the trunklid glass? or is there a support underneath? surprisingly, my wing pushed through the sheetmetal on my BMW frame rails. I could only imagine what it might do to glass.

Henk.....very nice car. where did you get the hood vents?

Joseph, no my wing is mounted through the lexan hatch. We built a steel frame in the boot area and bolted that to the tray. Then drilled through the Lexan and bolt the wing to the frame. The Lexan is free to move up and down so there's no load on it.
The vents on Henk's hood are from here:

okay, just a few updates. we're waiting for the motec (2nd hand) and some wiring stuff. Then we'll have to wait for the Motec Guru in Thailand to be done with building 3 race cars for the supercar races... But we don't get bored. Suspension work goes on, fuel lines are being laid, the dash is being testfitted and will be covered with alcantara and yellow stitching. So here's few more pics.
