carl,

on your site you say that the 968 engine only produces 189HP at the crank and 187 at the wheels.

A gain of 67 HP! We did this at less than 5 pounds of boost for a nice, safe installation with no need to change head gaskets.
the 968 produced 236HP at the engine.

Update: we are going to see where larger injectors and a smaller pulley (more boost) will take us.

The injectors just arrived today.

Carl, I had posted a thread about what a cleaner exhaust could do for the car on the 968 forum...

called "improved exhaust for better HP gain w/ SUPERCHARGER"

what do you think ?

Carl:

Will your supercharger kit work for a 968 motor installed in a 944?

Thanks.

Sure, I can do that, and on 928's gains of 20-25 HP are common with a cat-delete. But thats cheating.... I want to represent what my kit will do on an otherwise-stock 968. Stock exhaust, emissions systems in place, the whole deal.

If I upgrade the exhaust now I will artificially inflate my SC kit numbers.

Mark,

That question has been asked and answered several times in this thread. Have a read, and let me know if you have any new questions.

Carl...anything for the 944S you'd recommend.

I havn't read the whole thread, so bear with my laziness.

I've left most of the 944 development to my friend Dave Lindsey, while we concentrate on the 928 and Ferrari's.

But, we have accumulated a few nifty 944 pieces here:

Default For those that wanted 300 HP... now at 327HP

We found that one of the problems was the OEM injectors themselves. They are an old design, and they do not cycle very quickly.

We replaced them with new Bosch injectors of the Gen 3 design, and got much better fueling without really going much larger.

That, and a little more boost, and we safely brought in 327 HP on this car. This 968 still has the stock exhaust and cat installed. Stock chipset too.

In the second picture, note that nice flat air/fuel line... good tune!

Quite nice powerup! That power is surely enough for 968, hope you'll keep your kits available for year or two, then I'd have a budget to get it (have to do suspension first).

any SC kit's ordered with this new setup? would be nice to see performance in live.

Transaxle one-liner of the month for sure.

Had about 14 k of improvements on my 968 before looking under the hood for a major hp upgrade...

Almost done with all this crap...

I am thinking maybe in the early spring ! Looks like my timing couldn't have been better.

We owe a lot of thanks to you Carl.
