Blew my tire yesterday.
I came home yesterday to see my rear tire completely flat and a massive screw sticking out of the edge of the thread I'm pretty sure considered teh sidewall so no fix.
anyways it's a toyot tpt 215/60r1593H and I phoned around and the prices are up since I bought it and it's 185 bucks mounted.
i'm kind of broke right now so this sucks. my tires have about 15,000 kms on them and the rears look half worn. I'm wondering if I should replace one for 185 bucks (cdn) or buy two cheaper tires for the rear.
is it bad to have two different brand of tires (front and back) toyos in the front and something else in the rear?

Ha, I'm sorry to say this, but do you EVER get a break from something breaking??
I personally wouldn't replace just one if two are worn, it would be a hassle for tire rotation. You might as well get two new ones for the back (even though it kind of sucks having different tires on front and back) Or you could try replacing them all with some Fuzion ZRi's

If the other rear is truly half-worn, then you need to buy a new pair. And you *should* buy tyres that match the front.

not sure if they are actually have worn. they have 15,000 kms on them since I bought them.
I looked around and getting 2 cheap tires would cost more.
yeah this really sucks I just went to school and came back and that cost me 185 bucks now.
there were clothes all over the freeway for some reason when I was coming home yesterday, maybe a semi dropped it's load or something. Maybe I ran over some debris.
but yeah I just finished replacing my oil cooler and oprv bushing last week and now I need a new tire.
the tire place told me they can get me a new tire tomorrow it's discontinued and they have one left at their warehouse.
it's a 215/60r15 93H toyo proxes tpt. Expensive tires here. I checked online and they are 144 cdn pluse 25 shipping plus 15-20 bucks to get them installed and ballanced so same as getting it locally, not cheap for one tire.

I can't even rotate the tires, the front tires are different size. fronts are 205/60r15 I think. rears are wider 215. not sure why the fronts are smaller, but the previous owner had this setup so I bought the same size tires in the toyos. the rims are fuchs 15" and the rear look wider.

how would i know if another size would fit my rears?
they are 15" fuchs that's all I know and the front are 205/60r15 and rear 215/60r15.
reason I ask I just found 2 toyots in 205/65r15 for 50 bucks, used tires 60 % thread remaining.
should I stick to what I have or is it possible to install another size

i'm more worried about handling and safety than spedometer reading.
215/60r15 vs 215/65r15 on the rears.
65 would be a taller tire correct? so it would make the rear higher up which probably isn't a good idea.
