Wheeler Dealers TV Show

Bear in mind that they don't choose their cars based on what's going to be profitable, but they could - I bet some models are vastly more profitable than others. In real life you could do many of those and skip the ones that are trouble...but that wouldn't make a very good TV show.

Just finished watching Part 2... ( some of us have seen the youtube of Part 1)
Gotta say that the tall mechanic bloke did a pretty good job in a 22 minute show demonstrating some "track-car" changes for a wrenchy amateur..
BUT... I did notice considerable oil smoke out the back when they tracked the finished car and gunned it.. Failed turbo oil seals?
PS: They did NO work on the engine apart from e-prom boost of 30bhp..

Nordschleife Master
Surprised they didn't change the fluids and filters before tracking it. Engine, trans and brake fluids, changed the engine oil filter and cleaned the k&n. Good show though, the 80's Quattro one is good too, next week I think.

Just removing sound deadening is like a 6 hr messy stinky dangerous job. I do learn little things from Edd though. I like those GAZ shocks they put on, have never heard of them before. Finally, I no longer have any temptation to paint my D90s orange.

I am still considering getting GAZ coilovers for my car.

Has anyone else seen this show?
It is now running old episodes on discovery channel.
But you can watch all the episodes on You Tube. They just buy old cars, work on them a bit and then sell them on. It is a good show. Very calm, no yelling, no racing parachuters or anything stupid. And they do great cars, 924, 928, Cosworth Benz, MGB GT, Lotus Elite, Lancia Delta Integrale modern classic stuff.
I embedded the first part of the 924 episode on my blog,
kevingosselin.blogspot.com
Or just go to you tube and search for wheeler dealers 924. Each episode is an hour dedicated to one car.

I knew a guy in San Antonio who was doing the trade up thing through Corvettes. He was half way through his planned 'ladder' when I lost track of him.

What about the timing belt, guides, rollers and wp?
I have the 944 episode DVR'd in HD but it bothers me every time I watch that Ed doesn't address the timing belt and other associated WYIT parts.
