Default 924 GTR

This was passed along to me this morning by 924RACR. It appears as though it hadn't made it to here yet and I'm sure you're going to like what you see.

Beautiful looking car and what looks like a well completed restoration.

All the one off parts and high end race bits are unbelievable.

Monolug hubs
Rear trailing arms
Engine mount
Intake setup
Remount resevoir dampers
High end calipers (AP maybe)
Dry sump setup
Exhaust Manifold (which passes thru the chassis!)
Fuel cell
Bodywork

UNREAL!!

I can build that intake box. I know a CF fabricator just around the corner from me. That would not be a problem. I want the info on those TB's. Part listing as well as sources.

WANT, WANT, WANT.

I wouldn't be surprised if that ITB set-up wasn't made from scratch, it all looks billet to me so it could be a one off.

www.kinsler.com

They sell adapters and everything, including bell mouth runners. You'd spec out want you need/want and they could probably come up with something to match. I spent a bunch of time surfing their site for an ITB setup, but never quite had the funds to finance the entire project.

It is an SCCA GT2 car. As such it a tube frame car. Not much "Porsche" in there except fo the 3.0L S2 motor and the external body work. Fast car as it will compete in SCCA GT2 vs the 996 Cups.

Do a search on Dave Finch and Raetech and you will find a similar style 944 that won't the national championship for a few years in GT2.

This does not appear to be the same car.

What did you find out for the $$ requirement? How far did you get into it?

Wrong - a friend of mine knows Scott. That is an actual historic car. Scott simply modified it to his own desire. That is an actual GTR tube frame chassis with a full race history. Apparently has some pretty significant details about it and is quite special.
