Post 1986 951 Rare Color Verification

I am considering the purchase of a 1986 944 Turbo in Pearl White with burgandy interior. The sellor claims that only 6 Turbos were made in Pearl White in 1986. Can anyone verify this statement.

Just for the record...I wouldn't worry too much about it. If it's out of curiosity, hey, but if it's to justify a price premium, that's insane...

If someone was to tell me that, I'd ask him to discount the price. Why the heck would I want a color no one else liked in '86!

I don't know if that's true or not, but I did test drive an 86 951 in the same color (don't know if I'd call it pearl, but it was white) about a year ago in North Carolina...

What's the color code? Does it look like a Lexus LS400 color?

FYI I called porsche of North America to find out how many Pearl White 951 were made in 1986. After about 4 days of waiting, they called me back and said "they did not have records of the production data by color".

Hah! I wonder if it was the same one I saw in fall of '93 when I bought my '88 na... pearl white with full white leather interior... Story I later got was that the lot that had it couldn't sell it (dunno what the prob was), so when the partners split up, one of them took it and his kids drove the crap out of it... I saw it once more, at my buddy's shop, maybe '98 or so. Looked rough as hell. Minor dings all over, underside beat in in places (been over a curb, maybe?)

Anyway, AFAIK, they _did_ sell the '86 Turbo in pearl white; dunno how many. But the color looks really good on the car.
