Tom...I think that car is sexy. Waaaaay nicer than the US model. Then again, MOST Euro versions of NA cars are the same way.

Study the above picture, then tell me a PPPPPontiac looks like that.
I rest my case!

Now research the interchageability of LS parts. Just because they start with LT or LS does not mean they are from the same foundation and parts are interchangeable.

and yea, a ppppontiac looks like that.

That Monaro Tom posted reminds me of a Dodge Avenger although I do like it much more than the American goat.

ok honestly from those two pictures the only difference i see is the slightly changed GTO wheels, the spoiler, and the pontiac double grille/bumper design.

the rest of the body looks identical..i like how they replaced the side markers with the GTO badge though lol

Other than the front bumper, badges and rims, the car shape IS identical.

An American from GM saw our Monaro and wanted it in the states as a pontiac. Called it a GTO which ended up being a mistake.

The Pontiac G8 released a few months ago in the US is another Holden dressed up to be a Pontiac. Made by us, with some pontiac badges stuck on and sent over.

The G8 GXP coming at the end of the year is an even better package. 7L engine, big front brakes etc.
Then the G8 ute following after (look up google images to see what a ute is)

wasnt a mistake for me! for under $200 a month with nothing down I got to drive an awesome car. fit and finish in the interior were up there with the finest of the finest. nicer than my BMW for sure.

The sound of the V8 was music. The steering was numbed for us numb mericanz, and the shifter sucked big time. but as a whole, the car was an awesome cruiser with decent MPG.

Im in South Bend and drove to Valpo to install it for him. Great guy. It is a GTO engine. We used a renegadehybrids kit and everything went swimmingly. Got there about noon, GTO engine was still on the stand, and had it running by nightfall. Well, the fuel pump shat on us but it ran on starter fluid. Theres a video on youtube of its first run.

Heres the video...

remember the 944 is not really a porsche, but an audi with vw parts and a porsche motor.

^^ is it really ???

yes the transaxle is the same as the one in the audi 5000 except the audis had a synchro for reverse

thats why its got such a funky bellhousing even tho its in the back of the car.

Space all around the LS (remeber its a V shaped engine). Theres more space around the LT than an LS becuase of the LS's coil packs and such.

LT only has the 1 distributor right?

can you guesstimate approximately how much space there is around the engine? you know, if theres any room side to side to hang a pair of hairdryers etc off...

Why not just come out and ask if anyone has gotten a supercharger in there?

Uh..... with headers off theres probably 3-4 inches on each side. Why do want to know this?? With the headers on, probably an inch or so. Not sure. never really cared to know. The headers clear both sides is all we care about.

What do you wanna stick there?

Turbo? NO. Supercharger? NO. Unless you get a maggie, its all NA. Approaching 500 HP isnt good enough fer ya? hahaha.

Yes. MichaelB has a supercharger on his LS engine. Its a magnuson thats integrated into the intake. He had to get a poofed up hood to clear.
