I have had the pleasure of meeting and talking to Alois Ruf when I travelled through Germany a year and a half ago. I can tell you that he has respect for the 944 series, but I can also tell you that he has no interest in ever working on anything other than the 911 series. Well, Ok, there is the Boxster. . . He even just had his engine dyno "upgraded" to deal with "some foreign substance that the new engines use for cooling".

There never was a RUF 951, there never will be.

Sorry...

Did you know that he also owns his own electric power plant that supplies the town with power? Gotta be nice to own your own utility company. . .

Super nice guy.

Dal.

Your own utility,,that keeps the money current!

ON the outside chance of finding any of the old style RUF wheels, the polished lip 5 spoke, I did a search today and found one set similar on ebay but nothing else. The I went to www.weissach.com and found a 911 link. There they were, 8 & 9 X 17,,,,,which officially went out of production 30 days ago according to the phone source. I had the AMEX ready but....

I just bought a SWEET set two weeks ago, they're sitting in my backyard waiting for tires. I posted a pic last week...
