Rotella is loaded with ZDDP. That sounds like a good weight for a diesel oil, but not for a conventional gas oil. So it sounds like a good fit for the 951.

lol would the engine even crank over and start with a 70w90 oil?

anyways I just bought some mobil one 15w50 got it for 7.19 a litre so I think it's an alright price.

before I was using 5w50 quaker state Q horsepower synthetic which is the cheapest full synthetic. I just go the mobil one because it's the highest viscocity synthetic I could find. Quaker state and castrol syntec don't only have 5w50 not 15w50.

I drive my car hard and want it to last so I just pay a bit more for good synthetic oil. not sure if it will actually make my engine last longer than using cheap dyno oil.

AGAIN! look up ZDDP, and figure out why it is so important. The oil you are using is just fine, but it isn't protecting your engine the way the same viscosity of synthetic oil was protecting your oil 10 years ago.
You can use the same oil and add a bottle of ZDDP, to enhance it;s protective qualities for another 6 bucks.
Lindsey Racing, Pep BOys, Auto Zone amongst others, all now sell ZDDP additives.

BTW QS is a bit less than what most consider an acceptable oil.

yeah I didn't think quaker state synhetic was the best as it goes on sale for 22 bucks for 4.5 litres so it's pretty cheap for a full synthetic.

I'm switching over to mobil one 15w50.

I have never seen any additive for sale called zddp? what brand and what is it called?
