Default "Big Reds!"

My dad's car had some "big reds" installed 5 or 6 years ago. The records are not good. Im trying to get new rotors for them, but there is much conflicting info on the net about what size rotors were available and for what cars.

I suspect these are rotors for the 993 Twin Turbo. I removed them and measured. Here is what i got: The rotors on the car are 322mm in diameter. they are about 1 1/4" thick. They are two piece, with an aluminum hat. They are drilled and vented, of course.

None of the sellers (pelican, etc) have the rotor's size listed, just the car they were from. One web page said that the 993TT rotors were 330 MM, and the regular 993 had the 322mm rotors.

The rotors have NO PART NUMBER, which i was really freaked out by.

How do i find out what rotors to buy???

Thanks for the help.

take a rotor to the dealer and have them match it up.

Yup, they are the 993TT rotors with custom hats, the 965 rotors are 1 piece.

Taking them to a dealer probably wont help, most dealers do not carry these parts in stock.

Custom hats????? Do you know for sure that the 993 TT had 322 MM rotors?

If these are custom hats, can you get just the rotors?

Part numbers would be great. I have a part number for the 993 TT rotor, but nothing is stamped on ours to match. Do the 993TT hats have a part number? Ours dont.

I think there is a part number on the hat of my rotor.
I drove the 951 today, so I can not go out and look.

993-351-045-10
993-351-046-10

I used the 965 rotors, and I thought the the 993TT rotors needed 5mm less offset-check out

News: I just went to the local porsche dealer, who had the 993TT rotors in stock. The rotors themselves are the same (322mm), but the hats are different. They look like they probably have about 5mm difference in offset from the ones i have (as mentioned above).

Does that mean i have custom hats?

What is my best option? Does anyone sell just the disks without hats?

Those part numbers given above are correct for the 993TT, which is the rotors i looked at (wrong hat).

Thanks for everyone's help so far.
