Default Filling completely empty cooling system

This may be a dumb question...If I have completly drained the cooling system (not just the rad. but the block too) how do I go about filling it correctly?

check out Clark's garage.

I would fill from the top coolant hose. Spin it around so the opening is facing up 'cuz, uh, it would be hard to do with the, uh, opening facing down.

Use a pressurizer to get all the air out.

I have done this several times now, using pretty much the method Rick describes. I use an old hose, but whatever. Hook it up to the port on the top center of the engine. And fill til it pours out. Make sure the radiator is all full as well. Hook up the hoses and top off the reservoir.

I've never had any issues with air bubbles or anything using this method.

Easiest is with something like this. It draws the coolant right in and leaves no air pockets.

+1

unless you don't have a compressor. I know, what kind of dork would work on cars without having a real compressor.
