Thanks David. So this system you guys are talking about - it essentially gives you a 3d map of TIME/02 reading/RPM?

Very nice. Would this be needed if you had a stand alone EFI with 3d graphs for the air fuel already?

yes, the serial link is needed to log the output from the link unit from what I have read.

Here is a link to the G-tech pro <a href="http://www.gtechpro.com/" target="_blank">G-tech</a>

I am sure the standalone systems have some datalogging outputs as well but wideband o2 is not usually a part of those systems either. And you still need to measure what the results are ie what AFR you are getting at each RPM and what the power/torque curve looks like. Thats why they usually get tuned on the dyno (or until now anyway)

I assume you would need a good straight road to do the tuning. what gear would you make corections for the link AFM? or is it done as a whole. have you tried this yet? you have definently peaked my interest

I am no expert and I am still waiting for the AFM Link as well. But from what I have determined so far it will be necessary to look at the fuel ratios under various load/driving conditions and adjust the corresponding rows of the fuel maps/tables within the AFM link. There are a few guys who have already been working with wideband O2 sensors who can probably provide some input on the best way to drive whilst collecting the data for tuning ie Danno and Rage2 come to mind.
