Time to end hibernation and pour some love in to this again..

Between last post and now, we have built new house to some degree and moved in to it plus got another family member named Aleksander, so now we are small but loud family of 4.

Recently I had one of my bright moments and determined it's not really water cooled until it's water cooled. So I cut apart 968, XJR and 951 intake manifolds. I'll try to make something useful out of them. And while I was in cutting mode, I cut exhaust manifold too.

If you are doing this by hand, try an end mill to cut the hole with a hand drill.

Will buy new aluminum pipe today and try that next.

I'm using biax but aluminum gets in the bit and I have to clean it every 2 minutes. Pure alumunum is such a pita to work with. End mill bit would probably help.

bought this one yesterday, old chinese no name I had blew apart.. Junk.

Nice tool and bit Voith, are you aware that bit is for steel and aluminum ones are more open in between the teeth?

Goran - don't they sell "hole saws" in your part of the world?
I see you get WD40..

Be very careful with that grinder bit you have there; aluminum is soft and will gum up the bit and can break it if it digs in too hard. Only give it very light touches.
