$500 should get that fixed no problem. If you keep trying it yourself the price will only go up. Its an easy fix though, any competent bodyshop should have a stud welder fro pulling that out so no holes need to be drilled. I would guess about 6 hours body labor plus paint. At my labor rates around $477.00 if you don't get into blending color on adjacent panels. Go get some estimates. Not a big deal.

Btw, only a minimal amount of filler should be required for this repair. If it needs more than 1/8 of an inch the metal was not straightened properly.

pop the light out so you can get behind it. Push it out as much as you can, bondo it up. And try not to go through the paint when sanding. You'll take off the galvanizing on the metal. If you do, just put on some rustoleum primer.

this one was a real buger. There's no way to get behind it. I had to use a puller, then resculp it with a hammer, then bondo. Like said above, never use more than 1/8" - 1/4" of bondo or it will crack.

Take some rubbing compound and get the paint from the making of the dent off. (That blue and white stuff.) That's what's really making it look like ****!

If you have primer coming through, get a $5 colour match pen from an auto parts store in a similar colour and cover it. If it doesn't look like you can live with it after that I don't know what to tell you, but this shouldn't cost you more than $30 all together.

well I don't think the pic shows how bad it is dented in. A pretty large area like 1.5 square feet is dented inwards.

cleaning it up and using touch up paint won't work lol, it's still a big *** dent and the rear courter panel looks messed up.

I tried smashing some of it out but it just made it worse. It's a large area that is dented in pretty bad so it won't just pop out.

the metall around the wheel area is also bent up and will need to be bent back inwards.

I think I'll leave this to a professional. the shape of the rear quarter panel is pretty hard to fix too many curves. if it was a dent on the door it would be easy.

I'll go get a quote in a few weeks after I get my 4 wheel allignment and timing belt tension so I can start driving it.

how much does it cost just to have a quarter panel put on? assuming that I allready have a straight quarter panel... Id want someone to put it on then grind down the weld joints then I'd do the primer and paint and any filler thats needed...

where can I get this done in oxnard or long beach or los angeles?

Good lord it's not that hard, just get out the friggin hammer and get to it! Finish with bondo.

Before hammer:

After hammer (NO bondo):

Bondo would've made it look perfect, but between the weight penalty and the goons I run with, there's no point.

Sure, the rear's a little harder, but you'll be able to get in there with a hammer once you lift the carpet out of the way, enough to get it close enough to bondo. I just redid that on my left rear - backed it into the armco. Looks fine now, did it over the course of about 4-5 days.
