Default Powder Coating my rims

I'm in So Cal and I'm looking for a good deal on powder coating my rims (17''). I just want them plain white but I want the emblem to stay black. Anyone know a local shop that does nice work and has good prices, and do I get the emblem taped off?, repainted after? If anyone else has had their rims PC'd I'd like to hear what you paid too. Thanx

My local shop here in Portland does them for $35 each, although special colors like white usually command a special batch fee. As for the center caps, that I can't tell you. Perhaps buy a second set and hand paint them after powdercoating?

Assuming the center caps are plastic, I don't think you can PC them as they would melt when put in the oven. Just pop them off and paint them yourself. Has worked well for my center caps in the past.

I had 15"s done for $30/ea. in Colorado, just black though. I had to strip them w/ airplane striper myself, not too hard but that was a few brain cells ago so my memory may be a bit hazy.

Plastic cannot be powder coated...the rims are electrically charged so the powder coat adheres to it. They'd melt in the oven too.

just pop them off and paint them yourself.

Those are 993 wheels. Not sure of the actual name.

Whoops. No they are 996 wheels introduced in 97'.
Check this site out for replica wheels.

They also color match the center caps to the wheel color.

Don't think you could chrome the lip, but you could polish them.
