Default Nor Cal East Bay Drive Feb. 3rd.

It's been a while since the last run which was.............i think the Pizza Run which didnt actually end up with people getting pizza for some reason

anyway- it's the new year, and it's time to have a G2G, meet some new people, and drive.

Who- YOU and your sports car
What- An informal fun run
When- Feb. 3rd 2007, 9:00AM
Where- Livermore In-N-Out
Why- Because my loud-pedal is calling, and i'm sure yours is, too.

What to bring-

extra oil
sockets
someone will probably need a hydraulic jack at some point
water
and cash to get into Mt. Diablo. ($3 or more, or so they say)

The run is open to everyone member or not, p-car or not.

I'm hoping to get something done similar to last year's East Bay N/A run, or maybe a run around Mt. Diablo

Route-

It looks like Mt.Hamilton is covered in snow and/or sand. hopefully we'll be able to run that route later in the year when the roads are cleared.

so now we have the 1st route-

Mount Diablo

The run ends at Fuddruckers- once we're done with redwood road, we take 580 to Hacienda Blvd, and there's a fuddruckers right there (or so i'm told)

Meeting Place-

9:00 AM Meet, Greet, Discuss Route, etc. Depart @ 9:20

if you're going to be late, call in and let me know- 916-743-4837

In-N-Out on Arroyo Plaza Rd. Take the N. Livermore Ave exit off of 580 and turnonto Arroyo Plaza Rd.

if there isnt enough room for all of us to line up, we'll park in what looks to be the Wal Mart parking lot next to that,

if anyone can think of places to stop for pics, food, etc, etc, please post them.

I look forward to a good day of driving and hopefully meeting some new people.

Make a scouting run on both routes and see if there really is ice/salt. On my east bay run last year, it was good that I went scouting a few days before, because part of my route was closed off!

Route 1 looks like fun, but I can't make it so I won't vote. Hopefully I'll attend some of the summer runs, but for now I'm stuck in school.

Ashkan, I doubt your car will be ready by March. I'm thinking June-July. Hey......... maybe, MAYBE, you can take the 928 now that the F'ing thing is painted and running. Ask dad to go with you.

i'm x-posting to the 928 forum later on, but yeah, i think i'm going to try and have one of my friends run mt. hamilton beforehand. i kind of want to take the first route because i dont want to risk having big parts of the run closed off, or us having to go really slow because of ice/salt/gravel/whatever.

Sweet, now I can justify getting those solid control arm bushings and finally getting the car aligned. I'll try to make this one - it's been a while since the e30's been put to use.

I'd love to go, but the other half has roped me into attending some dinner event or other with her Sat. night, and we have to leave early to get where we're going. Hopefully I can get in on some run before end of Feb. when I have to run off to India for 2-3 weeks.

I think it's a cross between SOME experience, and also the fact that I try to take pics almost 75% of the time . I have fun taking really cool shots instead of feeling the thrill of going fast as a passneger.

I'll have to ask the parents if I can get out of the house in the first place. I am sort of on probation with them when it comes to outings.

no, not roger!

there's only room for one mexican!

i pm'ed roger, esteban, bill and i think dan beforehand just to gauge interest, but hopefully this turnout is bigger than the last sierra run, but not as big as taco run.

goddamn that was too many people.

I voted for route 1 only because I did the Hamilton run last year on the "N/A and 1 motorcycle Run".

Route 1 appears to be starting in "No Mans Land".........will there be a meeting point? Where does the Sonics come in?

Since route 1 seems to end in Hayward I would suggest La Vals for the best burgers on the East Bay unless we have a very large group since La Vals is a smaller place.
