Default HELP: AC compressor wiring question

OK, I'm now digging into my car to replace the compressor and I have a question...

I have two wires coming out from the clutch. A short one with an "eye" on it and a long one with nothing (see first pic). I know the short one grounds to that little screw hole, but where does the long one go? I can't find anything under there that it could connect to? The only wire down there attaches to the same mounting point as that first wire. (You can see the "eye" on that one still on the screw.)

Looking at the old compressor isn't much help. (second pic) The long wire broke off because of the heat from the siezed compressor. The only thing I can find down there is the afore-mentioned wire that attaches to the same mounting point... this one doesn't splice into that, does it???

Thanks,
BB.

Bump...

Does the "eye" wire go to the screw and the longer one plug in to the one wire I've got down there? That wire has a thin red/black one coming to a spade connector, and downstream of that is some kind of resistor or something...

The cable with an eye on the end (round) must be grounded to compressors body. Bolt it toegether with rectangular cable holder on the second wire. The rectangular eye is just holder, not terminal. The free end of longer wire is clutch engage line and must be connected to cars harness.

Cool, thanks. That's the best I could come up with, but the wire I'd be connecting it to (the only one I can even find down there!) was, to the best of my memory, also connected to the ground point on the compressor body. You can still see the "eye" connector from that wire on the old compressor.

Unless I'm on crack and completely forgot how the thing came apart when I first played with it a few months ago...

Hi,

There is a wiring diagram. G50 goes to DME - to inform DME that AC is on. DME compensates additional load during idle stabilization.
