unplugged TPS, bucking on lift gone

I have been reading about how some people have problems with the car jerking on lift of throttle or trying to drive at a low constant rpm. I had the on the 85.5. Today as an experiment I unplugged the TPS and the problem went away. although my idle is a bit high now. should I just leave it unplugged and adjust the idle? does this cause the car to use more fuel? (no shutoff on lift) does this mean my TPS is bad or can I adjust the one I have?

It does click right when the throttle body closes.

Your TPS is bad and needs to be replaced. By unplugging it you are telling the DME that you have the throttle open. The higher idle is caused by the added fuel. Swap a new one in.

is this part universal for all 944's? (turbos, etc.)
