Just bought a set of sport seats for my car that need recovering. Has anyone used the leatherseats.com seat kit to recover them? There on ebay quite abit selling seat skins. Just looking for some input...

Sam,
Did you buy the leatherseats.com kit already? Maybe we can get a discount if we buy two kits at a time? I dunno. Did leatherseats.com say they can do the red piping because I emailed them a few days ago and havent heard from them. Let me know..

No, I have not ordered the kit already - I wasnt planning on buying the kit for another month or 2....but ya never know. I emailed them and asked about custom stitching/piping and they said they could do whatever I wanted. I was going to just have them stitched in red but decided I would keep it more OE and just have them piped in red. It was like 60 more to pipe them red and 20 more to stitch them red. And the ebay price is better than the regular price I think.

Here are some pics of my sport seat recovering attempt. The results are not perfect, but they look far better than the original covers. The foam was in bad shape in a few spots and was in need of re-padding, but they came out ok. I'm not thrilled about the wrinkles, and unfortunately there are no magic tricks for getting rid of them with vinyl.
I actually took the covers off and re-installed them a couple of times after being less than happy with the wrinkles. They could be better, but...
