Default Intermittent cold start problem 87 944S

My 87 944s intermittently has cold start problems. The engine will turn over, sputter then will die. I wait about 10 seconds before retrying, she will sputter for a second or two, then idle normal. I read from another post about a fuel pump fuse being corroded would this apply to my car , or could it be the dme relay( where is the relay?) any other thoughts? Sorry for the questions, I'm a newb 944 owner.

Thanks in advance.

I'd change the DME relay and see that helps. In my experience they eventually fail, so if not now, it will fail later. The last one I bougth was about $25 from the dealer ($50 from another dealer), and I think the newer ones are a 993 part #, which may be more durable(?). It should be easy to find in the fuse/relay box from looking at the diagram that should be under the cover.
