Yeah I would be interested also if you weren't so far away. I hope someone grabs this car up and brings it back to life.

The car is very worth $6k for someone who knows what the parts are worth. The turbo and waste gate is worth $600 to $800 used. I just spent about $2000 on a similar suspension as his for my spec car except the weltmeister sway bars I bought. Add at least $2000 for his 2 sets of wheels, brake system, headlights, and 2 trannies (2k to 2.5k more) totaling to close to what he is asking for the car without counting the car itself.

I'm not in the market now, but is that $6,000 CAN?

That'd be ~ $5,420 US.

Sort of a bump with a question

Nice car, hope someone picks it up and continues.

i can tell you that noone here would pay more than 50% of what any part is really worth...you want more for a turbo tranny than an s2 w lsd....thatsnotgonnahappen.com to quote a famous website

Except that Turbo transmission is out of a Rothmans/Canadian Turbo Cup car. So that implies that it has the motorsport LSD, the steel synchros, external oil cooler, and the AOR/Turbo S input shaft. If its in good condition and the original unique/cup parts are still in it - its worth a good bit more than an S2 LSD trans.

Well Nick, I bought quite a few new parts from paragon and would disagree with you on the price of parts and what one is willing to pay for the parts. Maybe you don't know people who are willing to buy parts but I have bought and paid for much of the new and used parts for my spec car along with the many other cars I have and I am sure $650 for an autopower roll cage is more than 50% of what it costs. The exact parts he has on his car including koni shocks/struts, camber plates, coil overs, and 28mm torsion bars I bought at 100% what the parts are worth from paragon by most of the spec racers I know would show not everyone is broke and want to pay 1/2 of what anything is worth. I paid $650 for my used turbonetics turbo and it has sat in my garage for 4 years along with 2 other sets of koni shocks/struts. Heck I sold a pair of gears for a short 5th conversion for $400 and I am sure thats probably more than 100% of what those 2 gears are worth to most of you guys. Just the LSD units out of those transmissions (not including the actual tranny) can be sold almost instantly to any spec racer for $500 each. I am sure he didn't steal these parts on his car so I am pretty sure he bought these parts for more than 50% of what any of those parts are worth. I am sure someone like Lart probably paid lots for parts on his car in either pieces or parts cars or he wouldn't be interested in buying the car from over 1000 miles away.

OK, well maybe a bit more than 2500. The parts list is impressive, but the motor is badly broken and at this time it is a parts car and has to be broken up. Having said that it would be a shame to break up that car. Hmmnn.... trailering to Ontario, I wonder how much that would be. Naw six cars in the driveway already.
