Hey Lumberg...

Nick's actually a great guy ( bought my S2 from him ) and had been working to try and restore these beauties. ( I think he may have rescued the one with the T-belt failure ). Probably just has more projects than time right now otherwise I have no doubt both cars would be on the road and generating smiles right now! If I had more time myself, I'd consider grabbing the one that needs head work and doing a 951 transplant. Lots of potential in these cabs!

best

someone who got ripped off for a ton of $ by a builder who ripped the house completely apart and then took off with my $...does that answer it? not all of us have bookoo bucks to have all kinds of garages and new cars, in fact these were both garage kept cars till last winter. I had to get rid of the Barn to be able to fix my house to where it isn't condemed by the town. I am sorry that the one is dirty(it was covered and I did not have time to clean it) Thanks lumberg, your post makes me feel much better about my situation.

Joe the real problem is that my house is literally falling apart from all the water damages from the ******* builder. I need the $ to fix it to get through the litagation. These are the last of my "toys" everything else is gone, the ducati, the other s2, the turbos and all. I originally bought the cab with the bad belt to do a turbo swap(i had 2 turbo parts cars at that time, since sold) then wanted to fix it, but I just don't have the time. I will be ebaying these shortly I guess. I have had some ******** tell me that it is worth 2000 max.(yea ok ) I guess I will do the top on the 90 this week. $5500 is very reasonable considering that the cost to fix the 91 is not that bad, maybe 500 if you can do it yourself.(yea, i did price it out)
I think people like Lumberg should not post on someone's FOR SALE ad with that kind crap, it just isn't cool. as usual, if I need it it is a fortune and If I sell it, it is worthless.

Nick

Sorry the house thing has turned into such a mess for you! You might actually find that aside from the hassle of ebaying a car, you'll get more $ for it there. Hope it works out and if there's anything I can do to help, just call!

Was actually in your neighborhood last week for a funeral...I was thinking about calling you but thought I was better off focusing on the funeral ( a young person I worked with who passed away from a prescription drug interaction ).

Hang in there!

best

Joe

Nick,

Sorry to hear the builder situation is not yet resolved. I posted to your thread in OT when it intially occured. Good luck on the sale(s) of the cabs--If I was in the market I would snap up the 90--7,500 is a deal.

If you have not checked under the cam cover on that stripped belt S2, you might. Sometimes the belt strips due to cam chain failure rather than age/neglect.

Also BTW not all cabs have LSD.

Good luck with the sale! Black is a popular color.

So tempting......

But.
About 33 hours of driving round trip - 2 - 3 days.
$500 gas bill - estimated.
No room for 924s I already need to move.
