IMPORTANT! FLush fuel lines after replacing fuel filter?

R & R of the fuel filter is also much easier if you don't have a tranny cooler in the way.
Go with the full face shield and let the fuel drain out for a few minutes into a bucket - and of course follow usual precautions of no open flames and leave the garage door open to get fresh air.

Didn't flush my lines either and never had any problems. It was a major PITA though. It leaked pretty bad the first time it re-pressurized the system as I didn't get it tight enough the first time. Swearing helps!

It helps to depressurize the system, but that does not drain ALL of the fuel out of the lines. Anything left can squirt out as it runs out of the lines once you crack the fitting open. Not like a garden hose or anything, but enough to make a mess.
