Remember how the lower temperature fan switches were only available for early model 944s? Thought some of you might like to know that Zims has lower temp fan switches that make the fans come on earlier for the later model 944s, and 968s for $19.95. It makes the fans turn on at 85-95 degrees Celsius instead of 95-102 degrees Celsius.

sorry, these have been available for years....vw part......and yes before you ask, the wires and plug are the same.

I didn't realize that. One of the parts catalogs that I had only listed the lower temp switch for the older cars.

the three prong ones are the same as vw/audi cars with 2 speed fans 85 up to 92. the 2 prong are single speeed vw/audi to 84. the reason why none list them is simple, the manufacturer doesn't list the unit for a 944. kinda like the low temp vr6 vw fan switch that is a eurovan part...secrets like that make you big $ from those who buy into needing "hi po" stuff ..here is another tip...944 thermostats are just vw ones...and you can get them as low as 140 degrees. Don't be fooled by people who think that the porsche doesn'yt have vw, audi, benz and even bmw parts strewn about thru them..because they all do..even 911's(you can see the benz logo on the wiring plugs)
