oil pressure sending unit testing

Is there anyway to test the oil pressure sending unit by taking readings with a multimeter? I want to make sure I did not damage it when removing the oil cooler. Thanks.

Nevermind.. I verified it working by checking resistance then hooking up the wires the wrong way and seeing if it pegged. atleast I hope that means its working.
