Title says it all. Looks like I ordered new gears for nothing. I pulled everything apart last night and it looks like my problem is really this piece. Good thing is now I have a spare set of gears



It is not holding the two tubes together any longer. When you push the sunroof switch this connector actually seperates and the gear/pinion just expands/extends out at this point. Anyone have suggestions as to repairing it? Pet does not list it as a part.

take it apart and make a slip collar out of a piece of brass tubing. hold it in place with a length of heavy duty shrink tubing.
