Default Clicking noise from my left rear brakes

I hear this rattling / clicking noise coming from my left rear brakes. Does anyone know what this could be? Is it the brake pads? How do I fix it?

Everyone will probably jump in to tell you it's the CV joint. And they could be right. However, if you already think it's the pad, it may very well be your pad clicking against the caliper. If you lose (or if it breaks away from age) that clamp that holds the pads secure, the pads can move around. And they will click as you drive. I think you can purchase the clamps seperately. Ask Paragon Products.

litespeeds, the video i posted a few weeks ago will show you what a CV joint with old, worn out grease sounds like. i'm not saying that's your problem . . . but it'll give you an idea of what a bad CV is, for comparison at least.

I know it is from the left rear brake pad because when I reach in and move it around, I hear the rattling.

So what is this clamp that holds the pads secure? When I change to new brake pads, will this solve the problem or do I need to get a specific part? TIA.

I still can't figure out how to link a thread. DO a search in the 944 turbo section for a thread called
"Brake cruciform wire thingies "
