Converting 924 to EFI.
I want to convert my 78 924 w/ VW 2.0L from CIS to EFi. Main reason is better fuel milage posability. I was thinking of the
Mega Squirt System

Has any one converted the 924?
How did you do it?
Other wise anyone know of an EFI injector that would fit in the 924.
This is just some intial reserch for the project so i will not be doing much actual work yet but i will post when i start working.

I'm working on Megasquirt as a fuel-only computer for my new 951, with ignition control to be added in the future.
I'm not at all familiar with the CIS system on the 924, but if you haven't been there yet, www.msefi.com is an excellent forum to do some research.
If the 924 motor shares a fair amount of parts with the VW motors, then you'll probably be able to find a large number of people that can help you with your project.
I just fired up my V1.01 MS and stim about 3 minutes ago. Its been 2-3 years since I last powered it up, and haven't quite remembered how to get it talking with my computer again. Soon though, very soon...
This is the largest collection of 944-related megasquirt information on the net...

And some related threads...

I know a guy who's done it...and has some parts he was willing to give me...I could call him up and ask if he wants his email address and pelican board contact info given out.

Nick from Cambridge MA is in the process of converting his 931 to EFI using Megasquirt. Probably the nicest 931 I've seen. He posts infrequently to Rennlist. But here is his Cardomain profile, you may be able to contact him through there with questions.

So you can get cheap MAF sensors, make it exactly the way you want it, the megasquirt is relatively cheap and interfaces with a computer.
