I am getting ready to install a couple of aftermarket gauges this week and I want to make sure I am using the correct 12v source. Can anyone tell me (or provide a picture) of a 12v switched wire under the drivers side dash. I obviously only need power and light when the ignition is turned on, so does anyone have any suggestions?

there are many of them, get a test light and find one that has no power when ignition off and has power when ignition on.

Red wire with black strip will do. Find one going to the stereo harness.
